Translating the language of bees into clear data

We combine in-hive biological signals, satellite data and AI analysis to help beekeepers better understand their colonies' condition.

The future of beekeeping starts with healthier bees

Apisense was born from the real challenges beekeepers face every day - from protecting colony health to managing apiaries more efficiently in a rapidly changing world.

Our vision is to help transform beekeeping through smart, accessible technology that supports healthier bees, better hive monitoring, and more reliable pollination.
By combining data-driven insights with easy-to-use digital tools, Apisense helps beekeepers act sooner - when the first signs of disease appear, and early intervention can make the biggest difference.

More than a product, Apisense is a step toward a new beekeeping ecosystem - one that protects bees, supports food security, and helps shape a more sustainable future for generations to come.

Understand colony health before problems become visible

Apisense is an intelligent hive monitoring system created to help beekeepers detect threats before they spread through the apiary. It supports early recognition of risk patterns associated with serious colony threats, including foulbrood, Nosema and Varroa, giving the beekeeper time to react when it matters most.

Installed directly in the hive, Apisense monitors key signals from the colony and its environment without unnecessary disturbance. It combines pheromone-related hive signals, bioacoustic data, satellite data, inspection photos and beekeeper notes as well as AI analysis in one clear application, Apisense Pro AI.

From hive signals to clear beekeeping decisions

Every colony leaves traces of its condition: in the air inside the hive, in its sound, and the environment around the apiary. Apisense collects in-hive signals and satellite data, analyzes them and turns them into practical information for the beekeeper.

1. Install Apisense in the hive

The device is placed inside the hive and works continuously, without interfering with the natural rhythm of the colony.

2. Collect real hive data

Apisense tracks important signals from inside the hive, including pheromone levels and in-hive bee sounds.
By combining hive location with information about local forage sources, it also helps create a clearer picture of the apiary’s surroundings.

3. Photograph frames during inspection

During a regular hive inspection, the beekeeper can take photos of the frames directly in the Apisense app. FrameSense, an AI model helps read what is visible on the comb - including brood patterns, queen cells, honey and pollen reserves, comb  condition, pests and visible disease signs.

4. Analyze disease risk

Apisense uses AI algorithms to identify early signs of threats such as foulbrood, Nosema and Varroa. It also supports disease spread modeling and risk mapping for the apiary area.

5. Receive alerts and recommendations

When a risk is detected, the beekeeper receives a clear notification with warning and practical next steps. The Apisense AI Assistant helps recommend what to do next - from treatment and  inspection to actions that can help protect the rest of the apiary.

6. Act before the problem spreads

When a risk is detected, the beekeeper receives a clear notification with warning and practical next steps. The Apisense AI Assistant helps recommend what to do next - from treatment and  inspection to actions that can help protect the rest of the apiary.

Understand your bees from the inside out

Sensors placed inside the hive monitor bee pheromones parameters and colony sounds, helping reveal changes that may not yet be visible during a regular inspection.

Detect disease earlier

Apisense helps identify the first signs of foulbrood, Nosema and Varroa, so the beekeeper can verify and act before the problem affects more colonies.

Make informed decisions throughout the season

By combining hive signals, satellite context and AI analysis, Apisense supports better decisions throughout the season - from swarming prevention and feeding to brood development, honey flow, comb condition, inspections and winter preparation.
